Young HeArts is a two-year project launched by Plan International supporting children to be aware of their rights and responsibilities to study in happy and safe schools, expressing their views through arts and media to bring about social change. The project defends the rights to Education, Participation, Expression and Access to Information, as defined by Articles 12, 13, 17 and 29 of the UN Convention of Child Rights.
Plan International’s new global campaign advocates for schools free of corporal punishment, bullying, discrimination, peer pressure or any other form of aggression, as presented in the UN Study on Violence Against Children. The project takes place in India, Bangladesh, Viet Nam, Indonesia, Thailand and Philippines.
